<p>This year the development of student pro bono has benefited from a full year of Martin Curtis, our Project Manager, and his hugely energetic presence is certainly making a difference. It was a joy to see the level of attendance from across the country and the variety of topics covered and debated with such enthusiasm at the LawWorks Student Conference in Nottingham last November [2008], put together by Martin and the LawWorks staff team. Of course none of this is possible without sustainable funding and I give my continued thanks to the Law Society of England and Wales for their foresight in funding this crucial project.</p>
