Jack Dromey, Deputy General Chairman of the Trade Union Unite speaks about the brutality of Robert Mugabe's regime
and the efforts of Trades Unionists to withdraw means of support especially to block the supply of arms.

Through Unite 2 million British workers express solidarity with Zimbawean people. Pays tribute to Zimbawean Trade Unions and  South African Unions' refusal to handle arms shipments to Zimbabwe. Speaking from a background as supporter of earlier African liberation movements, Mugabe has betrayed Zimbabwe. Three tasks- supporting today's demonstrators to end Mugabe's regime of oppression;ensure no one sent back to Zimbabwe until Zimbabwe is free; Zimbabwean asylum seekers in UK should be allowed to work to support themselves whilst in this country and to gain skills to be able to help rebuild Zimbabwe on their return.
