This video is of a public meeting on 24 04 2009 in Hoxton. Sam Hallam has been convicted on evidence that is highly questionable at the very least. The role of witness statements which identify the suspect is widely, both in the criminal justice system and in psychology, known to be extremely unreliable. This type of evidence is clearly unsafe when it is the only evidence that leads to prosecution. Miscarriage of Justice is very hard to bear within a modern democratic society but where miscarriage rests on statements of identity which are later withdrawn and contradicted then serious questions have to be asked about process.

Professor Greg Hampikian on Witness Identification

Go to Sam Hallam Campaign

Learn More
