<p>More rented housing urgently required – supported by Local Housing Allowances – which could provide an assured stream of return to social housing investors – but not buy-to-let! – this was totally unhelpful – what is needed is more institutional investment in housing as well as in the commercial property sector – there will always be a return from rents – it is more reliable that returns from the commercial property market.</p>
